Day 124: Recalculating (May 4)

Have you ever used a GPS?  They are great, unless they lose signal and send the “recalculating” message.  If that happens while you are trying to navigate a city or time when you need to make a correct exit, then it can be a big problem.  This can also be a real problem if you didn’t realize it lost the connection, and you are happily driving ahead at normal speed only to realize much further down the road, you don’t know where you are anymore.

Have you ever been navigating life and somehow lost your connection with God?  Suddenly, you are traveling and realize you’re not hearing that still small voice that you once heard.  Or maybe you’ve made several decisions before you realized you no longer had a connection with Him.

What do you do?  It’s in these pivotal moments that we are defined.

It’s never too late to stop and allow God to reconnect with your heart.  His signal is never out of reach.

Take some time today and re-establish your connection with the Father.

I see you going into your quiet place and He’s already there waiting.  I see Him shining His light of love over you and suddenly you can see what, moments before, was obscured from your view.  He is loving you.  Right now, in the busy day to day, He is stable.  He is steady, watching over you and waiting for any moment that you will reach out to connect with Him.  Will you take that time today?

Will you take time to listen and receive, or will you continue to run Him over in your anxiousness to live out this day?  Yes, we can run right over the Lord in our effort to go and do our way.  He is steady.  He is stable.  A constant companion.  An endless Love.

Father, I come to You now and I lay before You all my steps.  Lord, recalculate this day and reset it in Your path and at Your pace.  I won’t demand for You to fit my timeline today, no I will wait on You.  You are worth my time.  You are worthy of every second spent in Your Presence.  Lord, You alone gave me life, now I give that life back to You.

Lord take me back into Your arms

Lord hold me close within Your wings

Lord set my heart aflame with passion

Lord lead me still where I should go, the way You alone will know

I surrender now my very breath, let it be filled with Your Righteousness

Lord take me back into Your arms, until my every storm is calmed

But He knows the way that I take; when He has tested me, I will come forth as gold.  My feet have closely followed His steps; I have kept to His way without turning aside.  I have not departed from the commands of His lips; I have treasured the words of His mouth more than my daily bread.  But He stands alone, and who can oppose Him?  He does whatever He pleases.
