Day 309: We were meant to live this way…Mark 16:15-20 (November 5)

He said to them, “Go into all the world and preach the good news to all creation.  Whoever believes and is baptized will be saved, but whoever does not believe will be condemned.  And these signs will accompany those who believe:  in My name they will drive out demons; they will speak in new tongues; they will pick up snakes with their hands; and when they drink deadly poison, it will not hurt them at all; they will place their hands on sick people, and they will get well.  After the Lord Jesus had spoken to them, He was taken up into heaven and He sat at the right hand of God.  Then the disciples went out and preached everywhere, and the Lord worked with them and confirmed His word by the signs that accompanied it.    Mark 16:15-20

My question to you today is, “Are you living this way?”

When I recently read the above verses, I felt such a holy conviction sweep over my heart.  It reconfirmed the deep desire that I have to see the “more”.  I want to live like they did.  I want to do what Jesus did, and more….just like He said I would.

I tell you the truth, anyone who has faith in Me will do what I have been doing.  He will do even greater things than these, because I am going to the Father.  And I will do whatever you ask in My name, so that the Son may bring glory to the Father.  You may ask Me for anything in My name, and I will do it.      John 14:12-14

If I truly believe all that He is, then I should be seeing more in my own life.  Did you read what that verse said, “I will do whatever you ask in my name, so that the Son may bring glory to the Father.”  It actually brings glory to God when Jesus answers our prayers.

How is that possible?  I believe when others see the evidence of God in our lives, it just naturally brings glory to God.  They can’t help but see Him.  Isn’t that awesome?!

Today I wonder, what’s holding you back from living this way?

Lord, remove anything that stands between me and living in the fullness that You promised.  Help me to stop trying to be so inconsequential that it prevents me from moving in the power that You intended to display through my life, and through the answering of my prayers.  Lord, I am Yours completely, and whether You desire to put me on display for the world to see, or to keep me hidden, I agree to walk with You.  I will follow You.  In Jesus name, Amen.

Spend some time asking the Father how He wants to move in and through you.  Repent if you see that you’ve been getting in the way and surrender to His hand, if you are willing.  Ask Him to remove the cap of the religious spirit from your mind.

Are you ready to receive the fullness?
