Day 311: Real Life Dragonflies (November 7)

For years now, God has used dragonflies to remind me of His love.  It has been through pictures, or figurines and on occasion I would see a real one.  Imagine my surprise and delight when I discovered that in our piece of Oklahoma, we are inundated with them!  One evening I walked out our front door and our yard was covered with dragonflies!!  Every time I have gone for a walk on our dirt roads, I am met and accompanied by dragonflies.  Even in the parking lot at school, I have seen many dragonflies buzzing around my van as I wait for the kids to come out.

I was struck by this revelation last week, for years I was seeing pictures and figurines dragonflies and feeling so loved.  But God has brought me into a season where the dragonflies are becoming a reality.  They are real life and ever present.

God released over me during that revelation that He was doing the same with the dreams He’s placed on my heart.  This is my season.  This is my time.  (I keep hearing those words in my heart too)

It is time to see what I have clung to in faith become reality.  Right before my eyes I will see Him fulfill one dream after another.

I believe His desire is to do that for many of you too!

We aren’t in a forever season of holding onto hope.  No, every dream will have its season.  Every one can come to fruition.

I encourage you to take a moment today to check your heart.  See if God is bringing any specific dreams to your mind and if He is, ask Him how He wants you to partner with Him to fulfill them.

The time is now.  The season has come.  The Dream Maker has come to move in your life.

There are countless places in the word where it mentions God remembering His covenants. Here are just a few…..

He remembers His covenant forever, the word He commanded, for a thousand generations, the covenant He made with Abraham, the oath He swore to Isaac. He confirmed it to Jacob as a decree, to Israel as an everlasting covenant:  “To you I will give the land of Canaan as the portion your will inherit.”  Psalm 105:6-11

For He remembered His holy promise given to His servant Abraham.  He brought out His people with rejoicing, His chosen ones with shouts of joy; He gave them the lands of the nations, and they fell heir to what others had toiled for- that they might keep His precepts and observe His laws.  Praise the Lord.  Psalm 105:42-45

But He took note of their distress when He heard their cry; for their sake He remembered His covenant and out of His great love He relented.  Psalm 106:44-45
