Over the years, I have developed a deep affection for scripture, and I often use it as a rampart. Around my house you will find several paintings of scripture that I look at frequently to remember the promises. Each painting is from a portion of scripture that God highlighted for me at one time or another. Today, I am going to share some encouraging, paint worthy scripture with you. Some scripture that could serve as a rampart over your life.
O Lord, be gracious to us; we long for You. Be our strength every morning, our salvation in time of distress. Isaiah 33:2
He will be a sure foundation for your times, a rich store of salvation and wisdom and knowledge, the fear of the Lord is the key to this treasure. Isaiah 33:6
“Sing about a fruitful vineyard: I, the Lord, watch over it; I water it continually. I guard it day and night so that no one may harm it.” Isaiah 27:3
You will keep in perfect peace Him whose mind is steadfast, because he trusts in You. Trust in the Lord forever, for the Lord, the Lord, is the Rock eternal. Isaiah 26:3-4
The path of the righteous is level; O upright One, You make the way of the righteous smooth. Isaiah 26:7
For the Lord God is a sun and shield; the Lord bestows favor and honor; no good thing does He withhold from those whose walk is blameless. O Lord Almighty, blessed is the man who trusts in You. Psalm 84:11-12
Prayer Moment: Lord, I ask that You would set these words in our hearts. Let them act as a rampart when the world feels uncertain. You are a sure foundation for those who fear You. Justice flows from Your throne. Thank You for being God. Thank You for guarding our hearts. Lord, I ask for Your blessing today, over all those reading these words. Let Your favor shine upon us as we walk through this valley season. You are our Hope. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
