All the disturbances that are happening in our world right now can reveal very real fault lines in our hearts. The places where we unknowingly believed or were simply raised with a lie. This lie can take root in our hearts, the place where a “truth” that’s not an actual truth can establish itself during our youth and become a strongly held belief as an adult. Today is a good time to dismantle such places.
“How do I know if I’ve believed such an untruthful truth?”, you may be asking. There is only one way, ask the Father. God knows all, sees all and is the only One to truly know your heart. Only He can pinpoint your fault lines. Will you ask Him?
I have spent so much time lately, going before God and asking about different thought patterns and deeply held beliefs that I have always had. Things that I don’t know the source of and have simply always had inside. These are places where a lie could have been placed when I was a child.
What do I lose from bringing all my thoughts and my whole heart before God? If what I think is true, is really truth then God will reinforce it and make it an unshakeable place, but if by chance it’s not fully true, then God can place His whole truth in that place. I have nothing to lose, neither do you.
If we really believe that all our thought patterns and deeply held beliefs are truth, then we have nothing to be worried about, right?
Today is short because I am hoping you will go to God and take an inventory of your own heart. We should never have any part of ourselves that we will not bring before God. In full surrender, I bring ALL my thoughts and beliefs to God and allow Him to sift through all of them. What remains will be unshakeable.
Prayer Moment: God, I present my whole belief system to You. I lay before You now, my deeply held beliefs about myself, others and Your kingdom and I ask You to breathe on whatever is true and to blow away all that is half-truth or rooted in a lie. I present my whole heart to You now and surrender to your instruction. I trust You exclusively. I trust You with full abandon. You alone are able to sift my heart and mind and bring about a resurrection of truth and a revelation of what isn’t. Thank You for Your tender care. I adore You. In Jesus name, amen.
At that time His voice shook the earth, but now He has promised, “Once more I will shake not only the earth but also the heavens.” The words “once more” indicate the removing of what can be shaken- that is, created things- so that what cannot be shaken may remain. Therefore, since we are receiving a kingdom that cannot be shaken, let us be thankful, and so worship God acceptably with reverence and awe, for our “God is a consuming fire.” Hebrews 12:26-29
May the God of peace, Who through the blood of the eternal covenant brought back from the dead our Lord Jesus, that great Shepherd of the sheep, equip you with everything good for doing His will, and may He work in us what is pleasing to Him, through Jesus Christ, to Whom be glory for ever and ever. Amen. Hebrews 13:20-21
