The Fountain Day 162: Psalm 111

Let’s take today and acknowledge and remember the Lord.  Remember His goodness.

Praise the Lord!  I will thank the Lord with all my heart as I meet His godly people.  How amazing are the deeds of the Lord!  All who delight in Him should ponder them.  Everything He does reveals His glory and majesty.  His righteousness never fails.  He causes us to remember His wonderful works.  How gracious and merciful is our Lord!  He gives food to those who fear Him; He always remembers His covenant.  He has shown His great power to His people by giving them the lands of other nations.  All He does is just and good, and all His commandments are trustworthy.  They are forever true, to be obeyed faithfully and with integrity.  He has paid a full ransom for His people.  He has guaranteed His covenant with them forever.  What a holy, awe-inspiring name He has!  Fear of the Lord is the foundation of true wisdom.  All who obey His commandments will grow in wisdom.  Praise Him forever.  Psalm 111

There are so many rich promises in this Psalm.  He is amazing.  We should always ponder His wonderful deeds.  Read this part again…

Everything He does reveals His glory and majesty.  His righteousness never fails.

When we see God in something, we will see His glory and majesty.  That’s a promise.  That’s a certainty…and His righteousness never fails.

Remember that when you think about our country.  When you consider the hands that seem to be steering our ship to the edge of destruction.  We are one nation, under God.  Under God…and His righteousness never fails.

Righteousness: the quality of being morally right or justifiable.

In a land where it seems that perversion and lies are prevailing…remember, as one nation, under God…we are held with a righteousness that never fails.

We can choose to lean into that righteousness.  The first step toward changing our nation, begins at home…with those in our closest circle.  Begin there.  Don’t lose hope.  Extend out as He leads and makes the way.

Never despise meager beginnings.  Those are the beginnings that can change the world.  They are the beginnings that changed the world for us so many years ago, when a baby was born in a manger.

We should return to the beginning…the gospel doesn’t change based on culture.  As the above scripture stated…

He always remembers His covenant.  And…all He does is just and good, and all His commandments are trustworthyforever true, and should be obeyed faithfully and with integrity.  If we obey Him, we will grow in wisdom

All such beautiful promises.  Promises that never change, no matter how much the world changes.  We can always return to the simplicity of God.  His simple and faithful truth.  The Truth.  It never changes.
