There is a day coming…
The day of the Lord.
We all wait with bated breath. We all desire Him more than life. We cry out, “Come, Lord Jesus, come!!”
Let us all wait with great expectation and longing…but as we wait let’s remember…
Then, after doing all those things, I will pour out My Spirit upon all people. Your sons and daughters will prophesy. Your old men will dream dreams, and your young men will see visions. In those days I will pour out My Spirit even on servants- men and women alike. And I will cause wonders in the heavens and on the earth- blood and fire and columns of smoke. The sun will become dark, and the moon will turn blood red before the great and terrible day of the Lord arrives. But everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved, for some on Mount Zion in Jerusalem will escape, just as the Lord has said. These will be among the survivors whom the Lord has called. Joel 2:28-32
We aren’t to wait in the waiting…we are to keep moving in the Spirit until…
Don’t relent. Don’t give up. Don’t stand as one so focused on the end that you can’t be useful in today…there are souls at stake.
We are to be laboring until…the great day of the Lord.
This reminds me of what we tell athletes as they run out to play a game….”Leave it all on the field!”
Let us be found leaving it all on the field. Giving the best of what we are and what we have up until that final day. Nobody knows when it’s coming…so we must make the most of the time we’ve been given. True rest will come later, now we work the fields.
Let us not be found napping under the trees…let us be found working the fields.
So many have been convinced that the day was coming today, that they made poor use of their time. They wasted the opportunities because they felt it was over. That’s not what God has called us to do.
We continue to grow, plant, walk in increase, take the land, walk in miracles, and grow roots…until.
There is no stopping until He appears in the clouds on a white horse…
That great and glorious day of the Lord!!!
Come, Lord Jesus, come.
Then I saw heaven opened, and a white horse was standing there. Its rider was named Faithful and True, for He judges fairly and wages a righteous war. His eyes were like flames of fire, and on His head were many crowns. A name was written on Him that no one understood except Himself. He wore a robe dipped in blood, and His title was the Word of God. The armies of heaven, dressed in the finest of pure white linen, followed Him on white horses. From His mouth came a sharp sword to strike down the nations. He will rule them with an iron rod. He will release the fierce wrath of God, the Almighty, like juice flowing from a winepress. On His robe at His thigh was written this title: King of kings and Lord of all lords. Revelation 19:11-16
