We are in the strangest time I have ever known. A time when the government is purposefully attempting to suppress us. I mean, they’ve been doing it in covert ways for many years, but now it’s blatant. No attempt at pretending it is happening anymore, it seems.
It’s interesting to watch people see these things happening right in the open, yet they are still unwilling to admit it’s true…but I digress.
No matter what our government, or any other government does…I know I am hidden in Christ. He is my refuge and strength…a very present help in trouble. We must remember this as we proceed. We are not called to fear or be subservient to anti-Christ advances. We are called to the boldness of a lion. We must switch from defense to offense. It’s time.
For too long we’ve cowered and thought if we remain amicable and still, then we’ll fly beneath their radar…not realizing their sights were always set on us…and our unwillingness to stand up allowed them more ground. It’s time to advance the kingdom of God.
Advance.
Advance.
We are to actively advance God’s kingdom on this earth. That requires us to go on the offensive instead of just responding to what they do to us. We are in a “take it by force” portion of time. Taking back the ground we lazily gave up to the enemy.
Standing requires sacrifice. That’s why many don’t want to do it. But sacrifice is necessary, it always has been. God our Father was the best demonstration of that…He gave up His one and only Son for us…for our freedom. To give us full access to Him. What more example do we need?
This world has nothing for us. Nothing.
We must shift our focus from what is temporary to what is eternal.
The sons of your oppressors will come bowing before you; all who despise you will bow down at your feet and will call you the City of the Lord, Zion of the Holy One of Israel. Isaiah 60:14
Does not wisdom call out? Does not understanding raise her voice? On the heights along the way, where the paths meet, she takes her stand; beside the gates leading into the city, at the entrances, she cries aloud: “To you, O men, I call out; I raise my voice to all mankind. You who are simple gain prudence; you who are foolish, gain understanding. Listen, for I have worthy things to say; I open my lips to speak what is right. My mouth speaks what is true, for my lips detest wickedness. All the words of my mouth are just; none of them is crooked or perverse. To the discerning all of them are right; they are faultless to those who have knowledge. Choose my instruction instead of silver, knowledge rather than choice gold, for wisdom is more precious than rubies, and nothing you desire can compare with her. Proverbs 8:1-11
