Resurrection Day 81: See God in Your Future

I’ve always heard, and I truly believe, that when we begin to feel hopeless, fearful, and/or overwhelmed by the future it’s because we stopped seeing God in it.

Let that sink in.

Our future is bleak without God.  We do lack abundance and opportunity without God.  But with God anything and everything can and probably will happen.  He is the key to the future we all desire.

The fear gripping the world right now is largely because so many don’t know God.

This world, the physical earth, was never meant to last forever.  We who believe know that and are certain of the future, but those who don’t, aren’t.  It’s that simple.

I have no fear of the false climate change accusations, but it works well on the masses because so many people don’t believe in God.  It’s been used as a tool of control.  Even some believers fall for it, but that’s another story.

If we want to walk confidently in our daily lives, then we must see God in our future.

He has a good plan, so we can trust the ups and downs.  He cares for us, so we can weather difficult situations with grace knowing that there is more goodness in store.  He loves us, so when we feel unloved, we can turn to Him and allow His love for us to fill all our voids.

We must see God in our future.

He is the same yesterday, today, and tomorrow…He will never change.  This makes Him the only secure anchor in life.

God alone.

Feeling concerned for America?  Cling to the Anchor.  Worried about the future of your family?  Cling to the Anchor.  Scared for tomorrow?  Cling to the Anchor.

In God alone, our Hope is found.

Today, I encourage you to stop and focus your heart.  Close your eyes and ask God to help you rightly see the future.  If it feels strained or scary, then ask Him to come and be in your future.  Sit with your eyes closed until all fear or discomfort over the future is gone and you only feel Peace.  He is the Prince of peace.  Let Him come and fill your mind with the remembrance of His goodness.  He is the God of your tomorrow.

“Arise, shine, for your light has come, and the glory of the Lord rises upon you.  See, darkness covers the earth and thick darkness is over the peoples, but the Lord rises upon you, and His glory appears over you.  Nations will come to your light, and kings to the brightness of your dawn.”  Isaiah 60:1-3
