Resurrection Day 195: Falling Into Place

I mentioned that last week, Chris and I renewed our vows, but I didn’t mention that two days before that we celebrated Naomi’s graduation.  Back-to-back parties.  It was equal parts amazing and exhausting.

When we were in the planning stages, I really practiced walking in the blessings of God.  Each preparation came as a blessing.  So many purchases that I made were at a steep discount.  Most of the money needed for our vow renewal came from someone tithing to it, as a blessing.

When I sit back and consider all the things that fell into place for these events, it’s quite obvious that God was ever-present.

He truly is so beyond faithful that it’s overwhelming.

There’s a concept that keeps showing itself to be true.  Whatever we are doing, everything works best when we move in the timing of God and allow Him to let things fall into place.

That’s the way I moved through all of our planning.  I only went shopping for things when I felt God moving in that direction.  I asked for help when God prompted me.  I stayed in His timing…and suddenly everything fell into place.  We did just what He directed and called it enough.  Then instead of adding to our trouble, we remained in a position of peace.

These two events were my favorites, so far.

The funny thing is that I say that after every event I plan.

Learning to follow God’s leading in all things makes things better and better.

These past events make me more certain than ever that at the exact right time, God will move us onto our farm.  My confidence is bolstered, once again.  I’ve been refreshed in this most interesting way.

Life can be like this all the time.  We can stay in God’s timing all the time.  We can be refreshed by each instance.  It’s our choice.

He is our ever-present help in trouble.  Our faithful Shepherd.

Direct my footsteps according to our word; let no sin rule over me.  Psalm 119:133

The Lord is my Shepherd, I lack nothing.  He makes me lie down in green pastures, He leads me beside quiet waters, He refreshes my soul.  He guides me along the right paths for His name’s sake.  Psalm 23:1-3
