Resurrection Day 271: The Lord is Stirring

It seems the world is waiting with bated breath.  This season is strange.  Stranger than any we have ever known.  The whole earth is in a state of unrest and apprehension.  But we must remember the world was spinning long before any of us was alive.  God was the only One there from the beginning.

He wrote the Book.

Remember, He wrote the ending before the beginning began.

What is the Truth?

We hear supposed truth tellers screaming at us from every angle.  We hear supposed truth from corrupt pulpits.  We see supposed truth from Christian leaders we once revered.  We watch the supposed truthful endorsing this and that and the other thing.  Our news hasn’t been news for a long time, rather it’s a mouthpiece of the wicked bent on deception.

Be careful little eyes what you see.  Be careful little ears what you hear.  These words have never felt so true.  we can’t trust what we are being shown…instead, as a pilot must learn to navigate without seeing outside and only by using his instruments…we too must learn to navigate strictly by the wisdom Holy Spirit imparts within each one of us.

I was asking God why our family is still in such an island state right now.  Alone.  Very little outside community.  It’s so strange and uncomfortable, at times.  He reminded me, again, that He’s training us to know how to navigate life without external influence…so we can teach others the same thing…because one day that could be the case.

We’re training up our children to have solid roots in God so that they won’t fall in times of deception and trouble.  So they will be rooted and grounded in love and able to weather any storm.

Would you be able to stay firmly rooted in God if you were all alone?  Is your walk with Jesus dependent upon others or is it wholly dependent upon Him?  We must have established relationships with Him.   Each one of us.

Think of the Holocaust.  They were in a desperate place.  Alone.  Their walk with God was all they had to help them endure.

We must have this too.

Scripture is clear that many will fall away in the end.  I don’t want to be one of them…I don’t want you to be either.  The only way to ensure our ability to stand is to become solid now, before the true storm comes.

Rooted and grounded.  Our lives depend upon it.  I encourage each of you to spend time with God asking Him about these things.  Lean into His heart for you.  Learn to be led by Him alone.  Grow in your ability to discern His voice and promptings.  He speaks in many different ways; we are wise to learn them all.

“The God Who made the world and everything in it is the Lord of heaven and earth and does not live in temples built by human hands.  And He is not served by human hands, as if He needed anything.  Rather, He Himself gives everyone life and breath and everything else.  From one man He made all the nations, that they should inhabit the whole earth; and He marked out their appointed times in history and the boundaries of their lands.  God did this so that they would seek Him and perhaps reach out for Him and find Him, though He is not far from any one of us.  ‘For in Him we live and move and have our being.’  As some of your own poets have said, ‘We are His offspring.’  “Therefore, since we are God’s offspring, we should not think that the divine being is like gold or silver or stone- an image made by human design and skill.  In the past God overlooked such ignorance, but now He commands all people everywhere to repent.  For He has set a day when He will judge the world with justice by the man He has appointed.  He has given proof of this to everyone by raising Him from the dead.”  Acts 17:24-31
