Resurrection Day 318: Vantage Point

Are you struggling with anything in your life?  Do you have troubles in a certain area that feel overwhelming and all-consuming?  Are you fighting in the spirit for someone and it seems hopeless?

If you are then I have an encouragement for you today!

As I was discussing some challenges we are walking through with someone, I began to prophesy over myself.  Suddenly I was saying things that I’d not thought about before and I knew God was using the words He had put on my lips, to encourage and direct me.

What a striking moment.

Realizing I wasn’t speaking from my own intellect, rather the wisdom from heaven.

It’s very humbling, for certain.

Here’s how it went.

I was telling the story of things a loved one is going through.  The person said something about how they wished the person could fight for justice in the situation.

Suddenly I spoke…you know when I look at this situation from the earthly vantage point, it feels unjust and hopeless.  I only see the struggle.  But if I can look at it from the second heaven, I see the real battle.  The battle is over this person’s future.  Their calling.  From the second heaven I see the battle because that’s where the spiritual battles occur.  But if I can look at it from the vantage point of the third heaven, then I can see God has already won.  I can pray from victory, not for victory.  That’s where I choose to operate.

Wow.

I knew all this was true.  We read about different heavens in Scripture.  We read about people going to these heavenly places.  If they did it in Scripture, then we can do it now.

God was encouraging me and telling me where I need reside during this battle.

So, I have been, and it’s carried so much more peace.  When I feel hopelessness and frustration trying to grab a hold of me and pull me down to another perspective, I say, “NO!”  and I continue to focus on the victory.

God has already seen the victory.  He wrote about it in the story of this person’s life.  Who am I to disagree?

I encourage you to do the same if you have a battle in your life or the life of a loved one.

I’ll see you there!

I must go on boasting.  Although there is nothing to be gained, I will go on to visions and revelations from the Lord.  I know a man in Christ who fourteen years ago was caught up to the third heaven.  Whether it was in the body or out of the body I do not know- God knows.  And I know that this man- whether in the body or apart from the body I do not know, but God knows- was caught up to paradise and heard inexpressible things, things that no one is permitted to tell.  I will boast about a man like that, but I will not boast about myself, except about my weaknesses.  2 Corinthians 12:1-5
