Believers can testify of the Lord by what comes from the overflow of our hearts. We testify to God’s sovereignty by what we know in our bones is truth. His word is written on our hearts, once we’re saved. Our minds are held with truth…if we will only learn to listen.
And the Holy Spirit also testifies that this is so. For He says, “This is the new covenant I will make with My people on that day, says the Lord: I will put My laws in their hearts, and I will write them on minds.” Then He says, “I will never again remember their sins and lawless deeds.” Hebrews 10:15-17
I believe that we are far too easily influenced by the masses and the ways the world church tells us to live and behave. Making concession for sins and allowing for people to walk in unfettered fear. The spirit of fear is our enemy. It comes from the enemy.
I’ve always noticed there are certain things that the church pretends are acceptable sins…gossip, slander, mocking, fear, anxiety, etc.
These things are no less sins than murder. I have never seen God rate the wrong of sins in Scripture. To Him, sin is sin. Shouldn’t it be to us as well?
This leads us to walk out our salvation with fear and trembling…the fear of the Lord…far different from spirit of fear. Fear of the Lord is like a strong reverence. A realization of how great He is.
The thing that gives me confidence in approaching God, and knowing Him more, is the fact we read in the Scripture above…He will never again remember my sins and lawless deeds.
I can come before Him boldly and confidently because He doesn’t see me through the veil of my sins. He sees me through the covering of Jesus. The blood that washed me white.
His Truth, the Truth, is written in our minds.
Can you hear it?
Do you believe it?
Can you comprehend it?
We find rest when we are still and allow the truth God has laid on our hearts and within our minds to soak through our entire being.
There is nothing to fear. The spirit of fear is abolished when we soak in the Truth of heaven.
Today I encourage you to do just that. Take some time and close your eyes and ask God to bring you into agreement with the Truth He has placed in your heart and on your mind. Let it soak into your whole being. See the world different. Embrace Truth and walk in freedom.
