Resurrection Day 337: Snowfall of Holy Spirit

I sat with my eyes closed, focusing on God.  I was looking for Him.

Then I saw a light snow falling around me.  In my vision, I stood with both arms outstretched and bare.  The snow gently fell all over me, yet I noticed it wasn’t cold.  The snow fell and awakened me with each tiny flake, but it warmed me inside.  This was the snowfall of Holy Spirit.

How I knew, I cannot explain…but I knew.

With each flake I felt ignited inside.  Awakened to the glory all around.  I saw what I couldn’t previously see and knew what I had not known before.

Oh, this glorious snow!  Oh, the glory of Holy Spirit!!

How I love You, Holy Spirit.  My best Friend, Comforter, Guide…so many things.

We gain so much when we take moments in our day to focus our hearts and minds…turn off any and all distractions and simply be still.

How long can you last?

Many say that when they decide to be still in His Presence, they first feel frustrated because they had no idea how noisy their own mind was…I believe this is exactly why we should attempt it.  More than attempt, we should train ourselves to be still.  It’s a skill in this current world of noise and distraction.

It’s such a valuable skill.

The snowfall of Holy Spirit made me feel so full.  Peaceful.  Aware.  Awakened me to yearn for more.  Excited my heart for the future.  Gave me peace for today.  Granted forgiveness for the past.  Encompassed my whole life in every flake.

Will you lean in today?

Will you dare to close your eyes, shut out the noise, and ask God to come.

Come Holy Spirit.  Come Holy Spirit.  Come Holy Spirit.

Have mercy on me, O God, according to Your unfailing love; according to Your great compassion blot out my transgressions.  Wash away all my iniquity and cleanse me from my sin.  For I know my transgressions, and my sin is always before me.  Against You, You only, have I sinned and done what is evil in Your sight; so You are right in Your verdict and justified when You judge.  Surely, I was sinful at birth, sinful from the time my mother conceived me.  Yet You desired faithfulness even in the womb; You taught me wisdom in that secret place.  Cleanse me with hyssop, and I will be clean; wash me, and I will be whiter than snow.  Let me hear joy and gladness; let the bones You have crushed rejoice.  Hide Your face from my sins and blot out all my iniquity.  Create in me a pure heart, O God, and renew a steadfast spirit within me.  Do not cast me from Your presence or take Your Holy Spirit from me.  Restore to me the joy of Your salvation and grant me a willing spirit, to sustain me.  Psalm 51:1-12
