The Fountain Day 74: Sacrifice

I’ve thought a lot lately about what a pleasing sacrifice to God would be.  I have given Him myself.  I have released to Him my family.  I have surrendered all position to Him.  There is nothing that I have withheld from Him…no place that I won’t and haven’t given Him access.  Still, I wonder what He sees as a pleasing sacrifice.

He calls on the heavens above and earth below to witness the judgment of His people.  “Bring My faithful people to Me- those who made a covenant with Me by giving sacrifices.”  Then let the heavens proclaim His justice, for God Himself will be the Judge.  Psalm 50:4-6

And

Make thankfulness your sacrifice to God, and keep the vows you made to the Most High.  Then call on Me when you are in trouble, and I will rescue you, and you will give Me glory.  Psalm 50:14-15

Our sacrifice in this season is to be thankfulness.

In this time when the earth seems out of order and many of our lives have been involuntarily thrown out of whack…we honor Him most with thankfulness.

These thoughts lead me, once again, to the Israelites…I wonder, if instead of grumbling and complaining all the time, they had been thankful…what would have been different?  Just a little thankfulness goes a long way.

Being thankful in affliction is hard.  But it’s also right.  The narrow way is rarely the easy way, but wouldn’t you rather be one who pleases God, instead of one who joins in the rabble?  I would.  I want to be set apart.  I have counted the cost and have seen the greatest value in walking the lonely road.  The road less traveled.  Even the church (universal) has lost its attraction for me.  I have no time for empty platitudes and jumping through man’s hoops.  No, give me the way that leads to the Promise.  I won’t sacrifice my walk with God to the altar of man’s praise and direction.  There is nothing but emptiness there.  Nothing but a bar that will never be reached.  Man is never satisfied.  The only satisfaction I’ve found is in Christ Jesus.  The wanting I feel in His Presence is a holy wanting…a desire for more of Him Who is to be desired.  Desiring of the Spirit, not the flesh.

Oh…give me Jesus…and having received all that I can of Him, give me more.  Increase my capacity to receive Him.  Remove all empty things that take space inside of me that He could fill.  This world has nothing for me.  Give me Jesus.

It’s amazing that it’s even considered a sacrifice for us to give thanks, isn’t it?

God, I am so thankful.  I have found such joy in Your presence.  I willingly lay my life in Your hands.  You alone are my heart’s desire.  Forgive me for anytime I have gotten swept up in man’s plan…man’s design…man’s praise.  Forgive me for anytime I have prostituted myself to the praise of man.  Oh God, purify my heart.  Let me be white as snow.  I surrender all my life to You, every day.  I am thankful.  In Jesus’ name, Amen.

But giving thanks is a sacrifice that truly honors Me.  If you keep to my path, I will reveal to you the salvation of God.  Psalm 50:23

The Fountain Day 73: Melting Envy

I don’t know about you, but I am really challenged with seeing wicked people amass wealth, when those who would use it for the kingdom struggle.  It’s hard to watch the Bill Gates of the world accumulate wealth and then suddenly become “experts” in everything…when honestly, it’s only their wealth that gives them such latitude.  They don’t know more than anyone else…people are just afraid to call them out because their money controls so much.

We can’t avoid the fact that money gives influence.  It’s the way of the world.  But here’s the thing…I believe with all my heart that we are about to see a huge transfer of wealth from the wicked to the godly…

Trouble pursues the sinner, but the righteous are rewarded with good things.  A good person leaves an inheritance for their children’s children, but a sinner’s wealth is stored up for the righteous.  Proverbs 13:21-22

When we ask Jesus into our hearts, we become righteous.  Now remember, we alone can never be righteous…it’s only through Jesus.  But when He comes to reside within us, we are righteous.  Let the knowledge of where that righteousness comes from, keep you humble.

With all that in mind, we can rest assured that the wealth of the wicked is stored up for us!  What a wonderful promise.  We are promised good things as a reward.

Many people will say, “It’s not right to expect reward for doing good for God.”  But right here in scripture it is promised.  Why are so many believers afraid to believe for and receive God’s promises?  It’s not wrong to look forward to something that God has designed for us.  Something that is set apart…for those who are set apart…

So don’t be dismayed when the wicked grow rich and their homes become ever more splendid.  For when they die, they take nothing with them.  Their wealth will not follow them into the grave.  In this life they consider themselves fortunate and are applauded for their success.  But they will die like all before them and never again see the light of day.  People who boast of their wealth don’t understand; they will die, just like animals.  Psalm 49:16-20

No matter what we accumulate on this earth…it won’t be worth anything in eternity.  Everyone will die, unless God just takes us away.  Which would be awesome.  But one thing is certain, we will all face Him one day…the wealthy and poor alike.  When we stand before Him on that glorious day…He will have no concern for the amount of wealth we have accumulated.

Keep focused on the eternal things, and God will supply the rest.  You can count on it.

As God begins to transfer wealth, we must be in a position of receiving, and then we must walk the walk of good stewardship…always remembering who it all truly belongs to…

As we close today, I’d like to leave you with this blessing from Numbers.

May the Lord bless you and protect you.  May the Lord smile on you and be gracious to you.  May the Lord show you His favor and give you His peace.  Numbers 6:24-26

The Fountain Day 72: Messiah

We are now in an hour that we see clearly described in the Bible.  I’m sure this has been going on for a while, but right now the labor pains of the earth are so intense it’s impossible to not pay attention.  This morning in my Bible reading I came across this portion of scripture and knew that God wanted me to write about it…largely because a certain portion of it has been going through my mind for over a week…so reading it today confirmed…

Jesus replied, “Don’t let anyone mislead you, for many will come in My name, claiming, ‘I am the Messiah.’  They will deceive many.  And you will hear of wars and threats of wars, but don’t panic.  Yes, these things must take place, but the end won’t follow immediately.  Nation will go to war against nation, and kingdom against kingdom.  There will be earthquakes in many parts of the world, as well as famines.  But this is only the first of the birth pains, with more to come.  Mark 13:5-8

Current affairs can feel overwhelming, but if we remain tethered to scripture (Truth) then we will weather this storm with peace.

Since Russia invaded Ukraine, I have felt uneasy.  I keep hearing in my head, “There will be wars and rumors of wars.”  I knew it was God speaking to me…I knew it was a word of warning.  A warning to remain calm and not to jump into any certain camp on the issue.  Rather…to stay steady and listen to Him.  Above all else, we are always to listen to Him.  We are not to be led by our emotions and an appearance of godliness…that lacks the power therein.

How many times do we have to be taught that the media lies?  How long will it take for us to learn that the immediate outpour of emotional response, is usually incorrect in some way.  Look to the root.

The most unfortunate part of all of this is that people are being used for advancing agendas…their very lives are being used and discarded to promote evil agendas.  Russians and Ukrainians alike are being sacrificed at the altar of greed and global agendas.  It’s truly sickening.  It reminds me of what I’ve read of Roman behavior.  A complete disregard for life and liberty…for an elitist group to grow fat on the work of those who should be reaping the reward.

God made man to live in freedom.  To work the land…sow and reap…our lives were meant to mirror our relationship with God.

What do we do now?  How do we walk in a time of uncertainty?  How do we stomach injustice?  Where do we go from here?

To the cross.

Every day and in every moment, we must cling to the cross.  Jesus leads the way.  Let Him.  Learn from His ways.  Listen to His voice.  Then and only then will you know the Way.

Hear, O Israel:  The Lord our God, the Lord is one.  Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength.  These commandments that I give you today are to be on your hearts.  Impress them on your children.  Talk about them when you sit at home and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up.  Tie them as symbols on your hands and bind them on your foreheads.  Write them on the doorframes of your houses and on your gates.  Deuteronomy 6:4-9

The Fountain Day 71: Converge

We have reached the final day of our exploration of three significant words that God gave me during a prayer time recently.  This final day is when I hope our requests to Him will converge with heaven…Converge…this is our final word.

Converge:  Come together from different directions so as eventually to meet.  Gradually change so as to become similar or develop something in common.

Here is the portion of the prayer I wrote…

All held back and delayed seasons now converge upon us in one fail swoop.  Blessings released now.  Favor called upon now!  Miracles manifest now!  Mountain of debt and impossibility move now!  You are flattened.  Seeds planted, burst forth as fully formed trees now!

I know enough to know that God knows the seasons.  He alone directs us when to sow and when to reap.  He can change seasons when it seems impossible.  He can move all things into alignment with His will.

Whoever watches the wind will not plant; whoever looks at the clouds will not reap.  Ecclesiastes 11:4

I move in heavenly timing…more and more I’m learning to ignore all other signs.  When He says, “Go” I’ll go.  When He says, “Stay” I’ll stay.  When He says, “Plant” I plant.  When He says, “Reap” I reap.  He alone knows my heart.  He alone knows His heart.

Remember this:  Whoever sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and whoever sows generously will also reap generously.  Each of you should give what you have decided in your heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver.  And God is able to bless you abundantly, so that in all things at all times, having all that you need, you will abound in every good work.  As it is written:  “They have freely scattered their gifts to the poor; their righteousness endures forever.”  2 Corinthians 9:6-9

When we do as scripture states, we bring ourselves in to convergence with His Spirit.  It causes breakthrough.

And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to Him must believe that He exists and that He rewards those who earnestly seek Him.  By faith Noah, when warned about things not yet seen, in holy fear built an ark to save his family.  By his faith he condemned the world and became heir of the righteousness that is in keeping with faith.  By faith Abraham, when called to go to a place he would later receive as his inheritance, obeyed and went, even though he did not know where he was going.  By faith he made his home in the promised land like a stranger in a foreign country; he lived in tents, as did Isaac and Jacob, who were heirs with him of the same promise.  For he was looking forward to the city with foundations, whose architect and builder is God.  And by faith even Sarah, who was past childbearing age, was enabled to bear children because she considered Him faithful who had made the promise.  And so from this one man, and he as good as dead, came descendants as numerous as the stars in the sky and as countless as the sand on the seashore.  Hebrews 11:6-12

We must bring ourselves out of fear and into faith.  The kind of faith that ignores all other things and holds fast to the God of the universe.  In Him alone, we will have all we need.  Oh, don’t you just adore Him?!

The Fountain Day 70: Replete

The second word I heard during my prayer the other day was…replete…

Replete: filled or well-supplied with something.  very full of or sated by food.

Here is a portion of that prayer…

Holy Spirit blow through this hallway and send spring.  Let our harvest be replete in Jesus’ name.  I call out for spring, summer and fall to come upon us at one time.

When seasons have been held up and winter is prolonged…we can ask for the advancement of all seasons.  When we walk in step with Holy Spirit and in surrender to God, we can move in miraculous shifts of season.

Here’s a prayer of Nehemiah…

Lord, let Your ear be attentive to the prayer of this Your servant and to the prayer of Your servants who delight in revering Your name.  Give Your servant success today by granting him favor in the presence of this man.  I was cupbearer to the king.  Nehemiah 1:11

This portion of scripture strikes me because in one small verse we hear a portion of Nehemiah’s prayer and then a one sentence answer to it immediately…I was cupbearer to the king.  How amazing is that?!

God loves it when we pray bold prayers.  I believe He put this prayer on Nehemiah’s heart, because at the beginning of chapter 1 he says he prayed this after mourning, fasting and praying for “some days”.

One way to bring ourselves into alignment with God in prayer is to fast and pray…but I’m also struck because I have spent a lot of time mourning, fasting and praying lately.  I had avoided mourning certain things, but then God revealed to me that if I kept avoiding them, then they would grow roots of bitterness within me.  I chose to forgive.  I chose to mourn.  I chose to obey.  I chose to separate.  I choose God every single day.

Come out from them and be separate, says the Lord.  2 Corinthians 6:17a

God desires our lives to be replete with His blessings.  Sometimes He calls us out so He can realign us with Himself…removing the pressure to conform to a world that we’ll never be good enough for anyway.  It’s the same world that will never be any good for us.

This is what the Lord says- your Redeemer, the Holy One of Israel:  “I am the Lord your God, Who teaches you what is best for you, Who directs you in the way you should go.  If only you had paid attention to My commands, your peace would have been like a river, Your well-being like the waves of the sea.  Your descendants would have been like the sand, your children like its numberless grains; their name would never be blotted out nor destroyed before Me.”  Isaiah 48:17-19

You see, It’s God’s desire to show us what’s best and to give us bounty and peace…there is also a cost when we chose not to walk in Him.  That’s why I included the end of that portion of scripture…we oftentimes skip over the hard stuff, but I think that season is over and we must see what consequences could occur when we disobey.  There are always consequences for everything, whether good or bad.

Honor the Lord with your wealth, with the first fruits of all your crops; then your barns will be filled to overflowing, and your vats will brim over with new wine.  My son, do not despise the Lord’s discipline, and do not resent His rebuke, because the Lord disciplines those He loves, as a father the son he delights in.  Blessed are those who find wisdom, those who gain understanding, for she is more profitable than silver and yields better returns than gold.  She is more precious than rubies; nothing can compare with her.  Long life is in her right hand; in her left hand are riches and honor.  Her ways are pleasant ways, and all her paths are peace.  She is a tree of life to those who take hold of her; those who hold her fast will be blessed.  Proverbs 3:9-18

The Fountain Day 69: Concurrently

I was writing a prayer in my journal earlier this week, and I began to hear words for the prayer that weren’t normal to my vocabulary.  There were three words in particular…I knew them, but they weren’t common for me to use.  Over the next three days we will discuss them one and a time.

When I heard the first word, I knew God was really releasing something.  When you are in a season of delay, and you know for certain the enemy has been working hard to obstruct your blessings and forward motion…then when you finally breakthrough and are rescued by God, you are assured that an avalanche of blessing will ensue.  Multiple miracles are bound to come concurrently.

Concurrently:  at the same time; simultaneously.

Here’s a portion of the prayer I wrote…

God, You know we need several miracles.  I pray they would come concurrently.  In Jesus’ name I decree and declare we are receiving concurrent blessings today without delay in Jesus’ name.  I turn the key on concurrent blessings and open all the doors now in Jesus’ name.

The word just kept flowing into the prayer.  I knew it was God giving me the words He wanted me to pray.  I know this in part because I’ve been asking Him to pray through me.  I’ve asked Him to help me pray prayers that are answered.  Prayers that are His design.  I’ve been investigating prayer in a much deeper way than I ever have before.  I am determined to learn more and to move into the territory of the types of answered prayers that cause others to see and believe in the truth of Who God is, not Who they have thought He was based on the warped view the world gives us.

I so long for the world to know Jesus.  The real Jesus.  My best Friend and Brother…my Savior.  The Hope of the world.

I believe one of the main reasons for miracles is to draw unbelievers to the goodness of God…to see His glory displayed…to bring honor to His name.

On earth as in heaven…this is the way we should pray.

God, would you rend the heavens and pour out concurrent blessings upon us.  God, I long to walk in Your power, and to see You move in ways that only you can move.  Ways that confound the wise.  God move in my life with power.  Hold our family in Your hand and use us for Your glory.  We belong to You.  Open heaven over our lives today and forevermore…for the honor and glory of God the Father, in Jesus’ name, amen.

I lift up my eyes to the mountains- where does my help come from?  My help comes from the Lord, the Maker of heaven and earth.  He will not let your foot slip- He Who watches over you will not slumber; indeed, He Who watches over Israel will neither slumber nor sleep.  The Lord watches over you- the Lord is you shade at your right hand; the sun will not harm you by day, nor the moon by night.  The Lord will keep you from all harm- He will watch over your life; the Lord will watch over your coming and going both now and forevermore.  Psalm 121:3-4

May the glory of the Lord endure forever; may the Lord rejoice in His works- He Who looks at the earth, and it trembles, Who touches the mountains, and they smoke.  I will sing to the Lord all my life; I will sing praise to my God as long as I live.  May my meditation be pleasing to Him, as I rejoice in the Lord.  But may sinners vanish from the earth and the wicked be no more.  Psalm 104:31-35

The Fountain Day 68: New Wine

Continuing on with the theme of break out…today we need to discuss new wine.

As we work out our salvation with fear and trembling, we do so by allowing God to continually renew our minds and transform us.  Remember what scripture tells us about new wine?

“No one sews a patch of unshrunk cloth on an old garment, for the patch will pull away from the garment, making the tear worse.  Neither do people pour new wine into old wineskins.  If they do, the skins will burst; the wine will run out and the wineskins will be ruined.  No, they pour new wine into new wineskins, and both are preserved.”  Matthew 9:16-17

I link this verse to this one…

Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind.  Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is- His good, pleasing and perfect will.              Romans 12:2

It’s God’s design that we would always be in a place of transformation.  We are meant to be consistently growing.  When is the last time you felt growth in your life?  I hope your answer is that you always feel God growing you.  There are growth opportunities every day of our lives.

When we follow suit to break out, then we place ourselves in a position to discover new growth regularly.  I am constantly asking God to make me new.  I have a burning desire to continue growing closer to Him.  I want to be one who never dies, but instead like Enoch, find myself taken up with Him.  I want to reach so far into heaven everyday that one day I simply don’t come back.  I know this isn’t a “normal” thought, but it’s the truth.  I love Him so much.

It’s for the sake of love that I am willing to be made uncomfortable.

When I was younger and newly married, I only wanted simple.  I just wanted Chris to have a 9-5 job and for us to have just enough.  I didn’t know what it was to have any kind of abundance.  I’d never lived in it before.  But God spoke to me one day and revealed that He had a far different plan for us.  It was a lot to take in initially.  Now, I’m totally devoted to it…this life of faith I’m living.  I’m determined to see all God has for us.  I see life in generations now.  I want Chris and I to be blessed so we can leave a legacy.  I want to break generational curses and strongholds so my kids and future grandkids and great grandkids can live in freedom.  I push for us all.  I face my fears every day for this reason.  I’ve learned to become a fighter because of this.

When you’ve seen miracles like I have, and when you’ve seen God…there’s no turning back to “normal”.  I’m spoiled to the miraculous.  It’s my “new normal”.

The blessing of the Lord makes a person rich, and He adds no sorrow with it.  Proverbs 10:22

I will look favorably upon you, making you fertile and multiplying your people.  And I will fulfill my covenant with you.  You will have such a surplus of crops that you will need to clear out the old grain to make room for the new harvest!  I will live among you, and I will not despise you.  I will walk among you; I will be your God, and you will be My people.  I am the Lord your God, Who brought you out of the land of Egypt so you would no longer be their slaves.  I broke the yoke of slavery from your neck so you can walk with your heads held high.  Leviticus 26:9-13

The Fountain Day 67: Break Out

Have you been feeling stuck?

I believe the enemy has been working overtime to try to make us feel stuck because God is on the move with so much breakthrough.

We can often see the direction God is moving by noticing where the enemy is attacking our lives.  Do you realize that?  The enemy likes to try to scare us out of our blessings and breakthroughs…so he’ll sit like a noisy voice of discouragement and speak death right at the place where God wants to move mightily in your life…right where advancement will occur.

With that in mind, can you now see places in your life that are primed for breakthrough?

We are in a season of break out!  It’s time to break out and break forth.  We must face the difficult things that we normally avoid so we can ascend to a new level in the Spirit.

It’s time to run right over the spirit of intimidation and defeat.  It’s time to aggressively pursue the breakthrough of God in your life.

Another facet of this break out season is…it’s time for us to break out of old patterns of religion or resistance and become more flexible.  It’s time to stop just going through the motions and embrace the newness of God.  He’s establishing new rhythms in many of His people right now.  Are you one of those?  Are you one who has felt the pull of newness?

Man, I am.

It seems I’m in a season where everything I used to do is no longer valid.  It’s like my previous debit card has expired and I need a new one.  This means all things have to be reset.  What once worked, doesn’t anymore.  My old thoughts aren’t good enough anymore.  My old routines aren’t working anymore.

He is making all things new.  That includes my daily life and the way I think about things.

I almost feel like God is in my mind and has started shining His light into a new place that hasn’t been used before.  You know they say we only use a small portion of our brain.  This feels like the time when God wants to show us how to expand our thinking.  How to align with scripture and His power in a greater way.

Does this make sense, or am I alone in this?

These are exciting days, to be sure.  So much is on the cusp.  So many opportunities to reach into.

What then, shall we say in response to these things?  If God is for us, who can be against us?      Romans 8:31

He who was seated on the throne said, “I am making everything new!”  Then He said, “Write this down, for these words are trustworthy and true.”  Revelation 21:5

With these scriptures in mind…go!! Go and take the ground God is giving you!! Turn a deaf ear to the enemy and keep your eyes on Jesus.  You will break out!!!

The Fountain Day 66: Limiting Beliefs

I had a dream the other night.  I don’t feel like I am to divulge all of it publicly, but one key thing that God said to me when I prayed about the fantastic download was…”You have limiting beliefs.”

Man, when God speaks something like this to you…you definitely take it seriously.  It struck me like an arrow straight to the heart.

You see, the dream was a gift.  It was honestly one of the most impactful and absolutely extraordinary dreams that I have ever had.  I received a supernatural download of favor during it, but when praying about it and thinking about it, God showed me that a limiting belief was holding me back.  Since that moment, I have been fiercely diving through all the facets of my heart to discover exactly what this limiting belief is and where it came from, so I can get rid of it.

Again, I am reminded of the verse of our season…

It is the glory of God to conceal a matter; to search out a matter is the glory of kings.  Proverbs 25:2

It appears that most things God has for me now require my searching…and I’m here for it!

I want ALL that God has for me…don’t you?  I don’t want Him in part, I want ALL of Him.  I don’t want to die and discover that I left a lot of things undone.  Things that were on His heart when He created me.  Things He had set apart as special for me to accomplish.  I’m sure you don’t want that for yourself either.

As I write this, I see God and He’s sitting at a desk.  On the desk is a book, and with a feather pen He is writing.  This book is the story of my life.  I can see Him thinking and dreaming.  I see Him enjoying Himself as He plans my days.  This vision would’ve been what happened when God made plans for me.  He not only made plans to create me, but to give me specific assignments.  He wove into my DNA the abilities to do those things.  He breathed into my lungs the breath I would need to live out the number of my days.

He did the same for you.  Do you believe it?  It’s absolutely true.

The following scripture is one that most of us know well…but it doesn’t take away the impact of it.  It’s true.  Let it sink into your heart all over again.  Welcome God to know you better.  Ask Him to reveal to you His plans and dreams for your life…then just listen.  Sit in the wonder of His Presence and wait for Him to speak lovingly over you.  You are so loved.

For You created my inmost being; You knit me together in my mother’s womb.  I praise You because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; Your works are wonderful, I know that full well.  My frame was not hidden from You when I was made in the secret place, when I was woven together in the depths of the earth.  Your eyes saw my unformed body; all the days ordained for me were written in Your book before one of them came to be.  How precious to me are Your thoughts, God!  How vast is the sum of them!  Were I to count them, they would outnumber the grains of sand- when I am awake, I am still with You.  Psalm 131:13-18

The Fountain Day 65: The Big Squeeze

As I walked through my house the other day, I was thinking about all the things in life that are still pressing in on us every day…I was wondering why it was taking so long to get through this season, when suddenly a vision came pouring over me.  I saw that I was being squeezed…but what was coming out was like the juice coming from an orange.  As I saw myself squeezed, the juice was flying all over the room.  It was funny and powerful all at the same time.  Then I heard, “I gotta squeeze you good to get to the best stuff”.  I was struck by the goodness and loving nature of God.  I was both convicted and excited at the same time and felt very loved.  If the squeeze brings out the deeper, sweeter things of my heart, then I will learn to embrace it.

Don’t you want God to get to the good stuff inside of you?  Don’t you want to be like fresh fruit…exhibiting the freshest fruit of the Spirit?

I know it can feel easier to avoid pressing situations, but when we do, we lose so much of the adventure!  I’ve found it is increasingly worthwhile to allow God to do whatever He chooses to do with me, and in my life.  I am surrendered.

Is your life experiencing the big squeeze?

If so, congratulations!!  This means God really loves you a lot.  He has favored you with His intimate presence and an opportunity to grow and to know Him better.  He is such a loving Father.  If you’re not currently being squeezed, never fear…He’ll be coming for you soon!!  The only question will be, are you willing to surrender to the big squeeze?

In this hour of the earth, I feel like God is ramping up the discipleship of His people because we must know who we are, and we must be willing to go where He says.  We are the light of the world.  A city on the hill not meant to be hidden.  This is our time!!  Arise church!!!  I’ve said it before and I say it again, ARISE!!

God, I want to be used by You!  I am willingly surrendered to Your squeeze.  Like a good Father Who loves their child so much they hug them so tight they can’t breathe…Come hold me like that.  I know it’s because of Your love for me that You challenge me.  Thank You for putting goodness inside of me.  Thank You for loving me enough to stretch me.  Thank You for knowing me enough to know that I have a lot of good inside of me.  Help me to grow more every day.  Teach me to be bold as a lion, and still gentle as a dove.  I adore You.  In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Arise, shine, for your light has come, and the glory of the Lord rises upon you.  See, darkness is over the peoples, but the Lord rises upon you and His glory appears over you.  Nations will come to your light, and kings to the brightness of your dawn.  Isaiah 60:1-3

You are the light of the world.  A town built on a hill cannot be hidden.  Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl.  Instead they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house.  In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in Heaven.  Matthew 5:14-16
