I am aware that what I am about to share could seem controversial, but I clearly heard God unfold this parallel in my heart. Honestly, it was shocking, but it resonated with such truth.
I recently came across an article about a Pakistani woman who was caned for walking too closely to her boyfriend. Seriously, they caned her. That’s terrible enough, but did you notice something I noticed right away? They didn’t cane the boyfriend. Just like those who dragged the woman caught in adultery out in front of Jesus and called for her to be stoned. But they didn’t bring the man.
As I continued to think about all that God showed me a parallel.
Why is it that women seem to be the most harshly judged and greatly oppressed in religions? God’s answer, because women are symbolic of the Holy Spirit.
I have often been taught that Holy Spirit is the embodiment of the feminine attributes of God. I believe it to be true. I believe that Holy Spirit among us is a concept so frightening to the enemy that he would do whatever he could to squash out that Voice. The Voice Who speaks direction, encouragement, wisdom. Makes sense, doesn’t it?
I’m not saying that women are more holy or superior. No, I believe we were made to walk in partnership with each sex complimenting the strengths and weaknesses of the other sex.
But I am saying there appears to be a theme.
Taking this a step further, I felt God nudging me that sharia law, etc. is no different than the religious spirit that has invaded so much of the church. Making God seem harsh and condemning. Making salvation depend upon works and not the power of Jesus Christ. It’s all an abomination.
Jesus Christ is the only way to heaven. His blood covering our sins is the only answer.
It’s not up to me to judge the salvation of others. I’m not their Holy Spirit. God can convict. I am to love. Let us not forget that we have each needed this same forgiveness.
Thomas said to Him, “Lord, we don’t know where You are going, so how can we know the way?” Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me. If you really knew Me, you would know My Father as well. From now on, you do know Him and have seen Him. John 14:5-7
And I will ask the Father, and He will give you another Counselor to be with you forever- the Spirit of Truth. The world cannot accept Him, because it neither sees him nor knows Him. But you know Him, for He lives with you and will be in you. John 14:16-17
