Day 314: A Shaking (November 10)

Can you feel it?  There’s a shaking happening.  The world as we know it is changing.  Darkness is being brought into the light and reason is taking a place at the table again.

The world around us may seem to be in an upheaval, but what God was showing me was this is His way of stirring what will be stirred and revealing what cannot and will not be moved.

His Spirit on the earth will never be removed or overthrown.  He can never be taken from the throne.  Heaven is His.  The earth is His.  He created it all.  His fingerprint cannot and will not ever be removed from creation.

There is a shaking happening, can you feel it?

The shaking is removing the religious spirit that has bound so many of us.  Giving us freedom to worship and grow and bring glory to the Father.

It’s like the moment that Paul and Silas were worshiping at midnight while in prison.  Suddenly there was an earthquake…….

Our worship affects things.  God is always stirring.  Holy Spirit never stops moving.

About midnight Paul and Silas were praying and singing hymns to God, and the other prisoners were listening to them.  Suddenly there was such a violent earthquake that the foundations of the prison were shaken.  At once all the prison doors flew open, and everybody’s chains came loose.  The jailer woke up and when he saw the prison doors open, he drew his sword and was about to kill himself because he thought the prisoners had escaped.  But Paul shouted, “Don’t harm yourself!  We are all here!”  The jailer called for lights, rushed in and fell trembling before Paul and Silas.  He then brought them out and asked, “Sirs, what must I do to be saved?” They replied, “Believe in the Lord Jesus, and you will be saved-  you and your household.”  Then they spoke the word of the Lord to him and to all the others in his house.  At that hour of the night the jailer took them and washed their wounds; then immediately he and all his family were baptized.  The jailer brought them into his house and set a meal before them; he was filled with joy because he had come to believe in God- he and his whole family.  Acts 16:25-30

This shaking causes others to come to Jesus.  If we remain as the shaking happens, we can lead those who are lost to the Savior.  Are you willing to withstand the earthquake?  Are you willing to lead others to the Father?  Laying differences aside and focusing on the One Who brings us all together in the first place?

Thank You God for drawing hearts to Jesus.  Help me partner with that work.  Let Your kingdom come on earth as it is in heaven.  In Jesus name, Amen.
