The Fountain Day 210: A longing

I have the deepest longing in my heart every day.  That longing to be in heaven.  The longing to be in the day when I will see Him face to face.  I long for God with every fiber of my being.  Even typing those words brings such a deep, deep longing.

I believe this is a healthy thing.  I seek His face because I know He’s there.  I know He is my promise…

Against its will, all creation was subjected to God’s curse.  But with eager hope, the creation looks forward to the day when it will join God’s children in glorious freedom from death and decay.  For we know that all creation has been groaning as in the pains of childbirth right up to the present time.  And we believers also groan, even though we have the Holy Spirit within us as a foretaste of future glory, for we long for our bodies to be released from sin and suffering.  We, too, wait with eager hope for the day when God will give us our full rights as His adopted children, including the new bodies He has promised us.  We were given this hope when we were saved.  Romans 8:20-24a

Adam and Eve broke the unique covenant they had with God…Sin came into the world…we’ve never known it any other way.  But we have HOPE!!!

The Hope of the world lives inside of each one of us!

How would your life change if you lived it from a position of knowing you carry the Hope of the world inside?

I don’t know about you…but knowing that makes me want to share it with everyone.  I have what they need.  Furthermore, I am to be a disciple of every nation…including my own.  That’s the truth.  We don’t need to head off to a foreign country to disciple the nations.  We can do that here…in fact, America is in sore supply of those who share the fullness of the gospel of Christ.

The world needs the truth.

God is Truth.

What if we took that longing for Him that we feel and used it as a catalyst to share Him with everyone we meet?!

I never feel closer to Him than when I’m sharing about Him.  That alone makes it worth it to me.

Isn’t He worth your discomfort with sharing the gospel?  Isn’t He worth being praised no matter where you are?

Yes!!  Absolutely, He is worth it.

I love You, Lord; You are my strength.  The Lord is my rock, my fortress, and my savior; my God is my rock, in Whom I find protection.  He is my shield, the power that saves me, and my place of safety.  I called on the Lord, Who is worthy of praise, and He saved me from my enemies.  Psalm 18:1-3
