We all have holes inside. Places where we’ve been wounded or disappointed. Space made from loss by death or just the death of a relationship.
Holes.
Some of us came from the wombs of women who were having trauma while we were being woven together and that trauma led to holes we were born with.
Holes…
Yes, we’re all born with a God shaped hole inside. Yes, it can only be successfully filled with Him.
Today I’m talking about the other holes…man-made holes.
I watched a movie recently, and while it was not at all about God, I could see His principles woven throughout. It spoke of identity and purpose. It displayed the ways that life creates holes within us…and I began to have an encounter with God.
“Holes,” He said.
Everyone has them…they either fill them with blame for those they believed caused them, some sad figures allow demons to fill them, but the ones who continue to move forward and grow, are those who allow God to fill the space.
Forgiveness is step one, then inviting Holy Spirit to come fill the space is next.
Today I challenge you…take a look at yourself and ask God to show you if you have any holes that need to be filled, or holes that are holding resentment, or holes that need deliverance. Those that need to be delivered would be places that have become an enemy stronghold in your life.
The bottom line is if God isn’t filling every part of us, then something negative will.
May you experience the love of Christ, though it is too great to understand fully. Then you will be made complete with all the fullness of life and power that comes from God. Ephesians 3:19
The mind governed by the flesh is death, but the mind governed by the Spirit is life and peace. Romans 8:6
God, reveal to me any holes that I have inside. Places where You need to fill me. Release Your spirit over me and transform the holes inside of me into places of strength. Take every place where the enemy desires to destroy me and turn them into weapons. I am a weapon for You, Lord. Me…Lord, choose me, I am willing. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
