I want to wrap up this week with time in the secret place. I hope after reading this you will find that quiet place where you meet Him and take some time. Leave your phone, watch, and cares behind as you simply come to Him. Let’s reflect on how much God has revealed to us these last few weeks. Think about areas of your heart that you didn’t even know existed until we started exploring His heart for us. Thank Him for shining His light in the dark places and drawing you into a deeper relationship with Him. Hasn’t it been so so worth it?!
Has He revealed deep pains inside of you during our time together? If so, are you still faithfully walking out whatever your healing looks like? Never forget where you are in your process. Don’t get caught up in life again. I encourage you to continue meeting with Him until you feel release over any and every hurt or stronghold He reveals to you.
I have a vision of someone who just had a surgery, and they have come for the appointment when they will remove the bandages and see how healing has progressed. Let God tenderly remove the bandage and inspect the wound for any signs of infection. Hopefully, you will only see that you are indeed moving into total healing in that place, but if not that’s totally ok. Some healing takes time. God is not in a hurry. You are not behind. As you lean into His chest again, listen for His heart beat and re-establish His tempo for your walk through life. He will repeat this process as many times as you need. He knows exactly what you need. He loves you enough to take His time walking through life, healing, and relationship with you.
In our time together did you discover you needed to learn how to let go? How is that going? Have you surrendered? Or are you struggling to grasp for control again? If so, let go again.
Surrender can often feel like the most unnatural thing to do, but with God it’s almost always the answer. Countless times I have taken my problems to the Lord only to hear Him remind me that once I’ve brought it to Him it’s time for me to let go. My trust level with God has recently increased so much because I have chosen to take several different steps of obedience and the only way for me to survive is to stay in a position of surrender. It sounds scary, but I’m discovering it’s a truly wonderful place! Now that I’ve embarked on several journeys that only God can end, it really takes a lot of pressure off me. I won’t succeed by my own performance, no I need Him to show Himself over and over again for everything to work out….and I’m finding so much freedom in this place. Have you discovered the freedom of surrender?
Now that we’ve taken an inventory of our heart, lets just thank God for His love and faithfulness. Take some time and let yourself simply feel affection for Him. It’s so important to feel. Let a feeling of gratitude wash over you again. Surrender to feeling. Be swept away in a current of His grace and mercy once again. He is a good good Father.
This is love; not that we loved God, but that He loved us and sent His son as an atoning sacrifice for our sins. 1 John 4:10
The path of the righteous is level; O upright One, You make the way of the righteous smooth. Isaiah 26:7
And we rejoice in the hope of the glory of God. Not only so, but we also rejoice in our sufferings, because we know that suffering produces perseverance; perseverance, character; and character, hope. And hope does not disappoint us, because God has poured out His love into our hearts by the Holy Spirit, whom He has given us. Romans 5:2b-5
